Fall Spiced/Cinnamon Dolce Latte

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 stick cinnamon

  • optional: 4-5 cloves

  • optional: vanilla bean

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. Break the cinnamon stick and add it to the syrup along with optional cloves and vanilla.

  3. Let it simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes. Then remove from heat.

  4. Once cool, transfer to a durable glass container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Alternatively, if you use 2 parts sugar and 1 part water, you do not have to refrigerate the syrup. The higher concentration of sugar prevents bacteria from growing/surviving.
